My memory card burped and I lost some of my photos, so there are a few weeks that are a little sparse.

Werewolves, Zombies and Vampires, Oh My

The latest fad in literature seems to be vampires, werewolves and zombies. Obviously Twilight helped pique interest in vampires, and other supernatural characters have jumped onto the bandwagon. When I peruse the new book section at the library every week, it seems half the new literature contains one or more of these fantasy creatures. Now they are popping up in "crossover" stories. Werewolves on the Titanic. Really? Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I read that one. My advice is: don't bother. But this week I saw one book that took it too far. It was a story about an Amish family and had vampires mixed in. How I would love to see a good old mystery and suspense story...without supernatural creatures making an appearance.
